Meet Councilman Mike Driscoll

Mike Driscoll is a familiar face in Northeast Philadelphia, where he's lived and worked his entire life. Growing up in this vibrant community, Mike developed a deep connection to the neighborhoods and the people who call them home.

Mike attended Cardinal Dougherty High School and La Salle University, later earning a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. His career began with significant roles in government, including serving as Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, and working at the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, helping local families manage their finances.

Mike’s passion for public service led him to run for office, and in 2014, he was elected as a Pennsylvania State Representative. His dedication to public safety, education, and economic development earned him the respect and trust of his constituents. In 2022, Mike took on a new role as a Philadelphia City Councilmember, where he continues to advocate for the needs and interests of Northeast Philadelphia residents.

Mike’s approach to leadership is rooted in his commitment to transparency, accountability, and community involvement. He believes in working closely with residents to address local concerns, whether it’s organizing voter registration drives, hosting community meetings, or supporting neighborhood improvement projects.

When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family. He lives in Torresdale with his wife, Fran, and their five children. As a dedicated family man, he understands the importance of creating a community where families can thrive.
